The Challenge
Artha ko Artha’s previous website had an outdated and poorly organized design that made browsing news less convenient. The custom-built backend was also difficult for the editorial team to use, making everyday tasks such as adding news articles, managing categories and updating content unnecessarily complicated.
For a news platform that publishes regularly, these issues affected both the publishing workflow and the reader experience.
The client needed a modern news website with a simpler publishing system, faster page loading and a clear layout for presenting economic news, multimedia content and digital publications.
Our Approach
We redesigned the website with a focus on readability, performance and ease of content management. Instead of continuing with the previous custom backend, we rebuilt the platform using WordPress, giving the editorial team a familiar and more manageable system for publishing and organizing news.
The new website features a structured homepage with clearly defined news categories, featured stories, recent updates and dedicated sections for different economic topics. We also improved the article layouts and navigation to help readers find relevant information across desktop and mobile devices.
Website performance was another important part of the project. We optimized the WordPress website to improve page loading speed and provide a smoother browsing experience, particularly for visitors accessing news on mobile devices.
We also developed an interactive PDF publication section where readers can browse digital editions directly on the website. Features such as page flipping and zoom controls make it easier to read publications without downloading them.
The Result
The redesigned Artha ko Artha website provides a faster, better-organized platform for both readers and the editorial team.
Moving to WordPress has simplified everyday news publishing and content management, reducing the difficulties associated with the previous custom backend. Readers can now browse economic news through clearer categories, improved article layouts and a more responsive website.
The interactive PDF reader has also made digital publications more accessible, allowing visitors to read and navigate editions directly within the website.
Following the launch of the redesigned website, Artha ko Artha also achieved improved Google search visibility, including higher rankings for the search term “Economic News Nepal.”
The project gave Artha ko Artha a more practical publishing platform, improved website performance and a stronger foundation for its continued growth as an economic news portal in Nepal.
